Amaravati: Amid global COVID resurgence, Andhra Pradesh government has directed the Medical and Health Department to fill the existing vacancies of doctors and para-medical posts by January 26
The department has been asked to provide accommodation and other necessary facilities to staff members working in the Department in agency areas.
The decision was taken in a meeting to discuss the measures to deal with Covid BF 7 challenge,
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the officials to complete the construction of village clinics by January 26. He asked the officials to provide video conferencing facilities to all teaching hospitals and PHCCs (Primary Health Care Centres).
A meeting on the new variant BF-7 will be soon held by the department, focusing on the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to treat Covid cases at village clinics, facilities, and test centers.
"Village clinics, working under the direct control of PHCs, should take complete responsibility for the village concerned. All the suspect cases should be thoroughly tested and necessary treatment provided", said Jagan.
