Andhra Pradesh: The number of daily COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh has almost doubled in the past 24 hours with the state reporting 1,831 new cases on 11 January. This is a huge rise compared to the last two days. Health officials have predicted a rise in cases post-Sankranthi.
According to a release by the state command control room, the highest number of cases was reported in Chittoor (467) followed by Visakhapatnam (295) and Krishna (190). These three districts are reportedly seeing a spike in cases.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 242 people recovered from COVID-19 in the state. The state has so far reported a total of 20,81,779 positive cases. It has 7,195 active cases as of now.
