Avoid unnecessary cheering’: Deputy CM Pawan urges supporters to follow security protocol during public meetings

Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has urged his supporters to remain calm and avoid unnecessary shouting when he attends government meetings.

Speaking at the bhoomi puja of the Amarajeevi Jaladhara water grid project at Peravali in East Godavari district, he said that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi faces concerns while attending programmes where he is present.

‘Shouting and cheering detrimental to security’

When the crowd began cheering during his remarks, Pawan Kalyan cautioned them, saying, “This is not a situation for shouting and cheering. Prime Minister Modi has enemies everywhere. In such circumstances, the Special Protection Group has expressed concern to me, noting that people move forward while I am speaking and that some even carry sharp objects. As political leaders, it is our responsibility to advise them.”

He appealed to his supporters to strictly follow security protocols and cooperate with authorities to prevent any untoward incidents, especially when the Prime Minister or other senior dignitaries attend events in Andhra Pradesh.

It may be recalled that whenever actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan participates in public meetings, massive crowds gather to cheer him. Often, even before he begins speaking, supporters raise loud slogans and attempt to climb barricades to catch a glimpse of their leader.
