Disproportionate assets case: TS HC issues notice to AP CM Jagan, CBI

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court issued notice to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) about alleged disproportionate assets.

The PIL was filed by Ex MP Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah. He has prayed for expediting the investigation into Jagan Mohan Reddy's alleged disproportionate asset case in the CBI court. He has sought to complete the process before the AP assembly elections in 2024.

A division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice N V Shravan Kumar considered the amendments filed by Harirama Jogaiah. The court agreed with the petitioner’s Counsel Polishetty Radhakrishna and directed the registry to assign a number to the PIL.

The High Court issued notices to Jagan Mohan Reddy and the CBI.
