Dream Come True: Andhra Pradesh students on Delhi tour meet PM

Government school students are from Vizag, Vizianagaram, and Kadapa

Government school students from Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

New Delhi: It was a dream come true moment for 42 students of Andhra Pradesh who were given the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

The students are from Class 8 and Class 9, studying in government schools in social welfare hostels from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and YSR Kadapa districts. They went to New Delhi on an educational tour on March 16 and 17. The Students include 39 boys and 29 girls Andhra Pradesh, Ramanathapuram and Virudhnagar Districts of Tamil Nadu.


On Saturday, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath tweeted a note thanking Narendra Modi, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for giving students a wonderful opportunity.

This was an educational tour, as a part of the Delhi Sandarshan-cum-educational tour organised by the Indian Bank under its CSR. The students met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House and also visited India Gate and Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya.

While interacting with Modi, students explained their education system in school and living conditions. Prime Minister also distributed books - Exam Warrior and Gandhi’s India Unity in Diversity, Telugu and Tamil versions to the students. He also gave the passbooks of the newly opened Jan-Dhan accounts.
