`Dum Dum Diga Diga…': Rains bring relief from sweltering heat in Andhra
MD said that heat wave conditions are unlikely to happen in India for the next five days

Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert to coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema for unseasonal rain on Monday and Tuesday
Since Monday morning, thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains witnessed in Anantapur, Kurnool, Nandyal, Guntur, Kakinada, and Godavari districts. Light to moderate rains were witnessed in Visakhapatnam.

Weatherman appealed to the farmers and people not to take shelter near trees and electric poles during the thunderstorm to prevent possible lighting deaths. The current weather is due to wind discontinuity which leads to severe weather like hail storms, and heavy rains over many parts of Andhra Pradesh.
According to Praneeth, popularly known as Andhra Pradesh weathermen, a red alert has been issued due to massive rains in Krishna, Eluru, Konaseema, Godavari, and Kakinada districts. Some places will witness rains of more than 100 mm. Eluru, Kakinada, and Rajahmundry are also likely to have severe downpours.

Indian Meteorological Department, Amaravati said: "Light thunderstorms very likely to occur at few places over East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Kadapa for the next three hours. It will be accompanied by strong gusty winds reaching 40 kmph".
IMD said that heat wave conditions are unlikely to happen in India for the next five days and maximum temperature is likely to be below normal to near normal in these days.
