Engineering graduate caught trying to sell child porn online in Vijayawada
The Vijayawada police on Friday arrested a 24-year-old engineering graduate for possessing over 4,000 child porn videos and attempting to sell them.

The police launched an investigation after the cybercrime police received an anonymous complaint via registered post. The complainant said he came across an online advertisement about child porn videos at cheap prices.
Based on the details furnished by the complainant, the cyber crime police registered a case and used cyber forensics to trace Shaik Sohail to the Fakirgudem area in Vijayawada.
Vijayawada city police chief B. Srinivasulu said Sohail is a B.Tech graduate from a reputed engineering college in Vijayawada and has worked in various multinational companies. However, he could not keep any job and quit them all.
He came across an online advertisement about the sale of child porn videos. Sohail contacted the advertiser and deposited some money to purchase the videos. He received a web link through which he downloaded more than 4,000 videos. He then decided to make money by selling the videos online.
Sohail posted advertisements on the Internet offering child porn videos at low prices and also offered discounts.
The police said watching child porn is an offense and the National Crime Records Bureau will identify the IP addresses of those who even search for such videos on the Internet.
