Ex-TDP MLA condemns Sajjala's 'meaningless' remarks over CBI charge sheet in Viveka murder
He asked Mr. Sajjala to clarify all aspects before passing comments on the CBI charge sheet and the TDP.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 19 Feb 2022 1:59 PM GMTAmaravati: Former TDP MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao criticised Andhra Pradesh government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy for his "meaningless statements" even after the CBI charge sheet exposed the culprits in the Y.S Vivekananda Reddy murder. He asked Sajjala to clarify why YSRCP MP Y.S Avinash Reddy rushed to the Viveka residence immediately after the murder. Why did the MP remove the bloodstains at the crime scene? he asked.
During a press meet on Saturday, the TDP leader asked whether it was not a fact that Avinash Reddy had called the media and the district SP and told them that Vivekananda Reddy had died of a heart attack. The MP had asked them not to turn the death into a controversy. Mr. Sajjala should clarify all these aspects before passing comments on the CBI charge sheet and the TDP, Mr. Rao said.
The TDP leader said Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy had demanded the CBI probe at the time of the murder saying that he had no faith in the Chandrababu Naidu government and the AP police. After coming to power, the CM withdrew his petition seeking CBI investigation. "Why did the CM reduce the scope of the SIT investigation formed by the previous regime? questioned Mr. Rao.
According to the TDP leader, the CBI charge sheet clearly stated, on page number 14, that the main reason for the Viveka murder was over the Kadapa MP ticket. The charge sheet said Viveka strongly urged Jagan Reddy not to give the ticket to Y.S Avinash Reddy.
Mr. Rao said the CBI charge sheet had also clearly said that Avinash bore a grudge against Viveka and eliminated him with the help of Erra Gangi Reddy, Devireddy Shankar Reddy, Sunil Yadav, Umashankar Reddy, and Viveka's former driver Dasthagiri. How could Sajjala avoid making any statement on this? the TDP leader asked. He pointed out that the petition challenging Dastagiri turning approver was dismissed by the court a few days ago. Following this, a CBI top officer from Delhi arrived in Pulivendula. This had sent shivers down the spine of the ruling party leadership in the state, he added.
