Tirupati: A major fire broke out in a photo frames shop near the Govindaraja Temple in Tirupati on Friday morning. Police suspect that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit.
The fire broke out at the Lavanya Photo Frames shop near the temple and then spread outwards in huge flames. The shop filled with photo frames of Gods and Goddesses was gutted. The fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire. It took at least 2-3 hours to bring the situation under control.
Traffic movement from Gandhi Road to Tirupati railway station was diverted during the fire-fighting operation. No casualties have been reported so far.
