On Tuesday, he attended the G-20 Working Group meeting in Visakhapatnam. The theme of the second Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting, which is a part of the G20 Summit, is 'Financing Cities of Tomorrow- Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable.'
Jagan said the government had given house sites to more than 30 lakh poor people and is constructing houses for 22 lakh others. Pointing out that the works to provide basic infrastructure like drainage, roads, and electricity are in full swing, he asked them to discuss ways to make them sustainable for a long time with good quality and with less expenditure.
"We should move away from horizontal growth and take to vertical growth to make the basic facilities sustainable for long and of good use. We are hoping to get good suggestions, even on horizontal growth models", said Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Later evening, Jagan Mohan Reddy hosted an official dinner for the delegates. The dance drama that depicted the agricultural and cultural heritage flourished on the Telugu land replete with the Krishna, Godavari, Pennar, Tungabhadra, Vamsadhara, and Suvarnamukhi Rivers, the Telugu literature propagated by the great poet Nannaya and the King Sri Krishna Devaraya.
A Kuchipudi dance that highlighted the Navaratnalu welfare programmes being implemented by the government has been showcased.
