Get Ready Shoppers: Andhra's first Inorbit Mall to open in Vizag
Along with Inorbit Mall, government is keen on building IT spaces, and super luxury five-star plus and seven-star hotels in the state. In phase 2, a five-star hotel with 200 rooms will be constructed by 2029.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 1 Aug 2023 10:38 AM GMTAmaravati: Andhra Pradesh will soon get its first Inorbit mall in Visakhapatnam. On Tuesday, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid a foundation stone for the construction of the Inorbit Mall at Saligramapuram in Visakhapatnam.
Jagan, along with Neel Raheja, president of K Raheja Group, laid the foundation and unveiled the plaque for the Inorbit Mall. The Raheja Group would be investing Rs 600 crore in the construction of Inorbit Mall, which will cover 12-13 acres. They plan to finish construction by 2026. Total space allotted is 17 acres land.
The mall would directly or indirectly provide employment opportunities to 8,000 individuals.
Speaking at the event, Jagan said, āThe new project will change the face of Visakhapatnam. This is going to be the biggest mall in South India. After the completion of its construction in 12-13 acres, the remaining land will be utilised for IT space providing jobs to 3,000 people in the second phase.ā
Luxury hotels in the pipeline
The CM said that the Raheja Group had also expressed interest in constructing a 5-star hotel in Visakhapatnam. āWe are part of the Andhra Pradesh journey. We have stores in Vizag, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, and soon we will open in Kakinada, Nellore and Tirupati. Weāve also been involved in IT parks and hotels across the country and have spent the last few months visiting Visakhapatnam,ā said Neel Raheja, president of K Raheja Group.

Another project includes an electronics and textiles park on 350 acres in Hindupur, creating jobs for 15,000 youth.
At another event, Jagan laid the foundation for a high-end incubation centre at Andhra University with a cost of Rs 130 crores and participated in other development works.
