Chittoor: A man from Andhra Pradesh who was stranded in Kuwait for a month after he was allegedly cheated by an agent, returned to India.

An emotional video of Siva received by his wife and two daughters went viral on social media.

A few days ago, Siva, a native of Chintaparti village in Vayalpadu mandal, Annamayya district posted a video on social media on how he went to Kuwait for a job and ended up grazing cattle in the desert in harrowing conditions.

In the video, Siva showed the surroundings where he has been living alone with no one to help and urged the government to bring him back to India. Responding to the video, Minister for Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh assured of his safe return and spoke with the Indian embassy in Kuwait.

On Wednesday, he returned and thanked Nara Lokesh for bringing him back within days.

According to the reports, Siva had reportedly borrowed money to go to Kuwait hoping to get a job. While his job was to take care of cattle in a deserted area, he faced severe hardships doing all odd jobs.

According to Siva, there are hundreds of people from Rayalaseema, East, and West Godavari districts, who are suffering in Kuwait.

Siva used to run a small time business by selling utensils. He has a debt of around Rs 5 lakh which he borrowed to build a house. He heard about jobs in Kuwait and decided to go and earn money.

"I was promised a cattle grazing job, and the agent asked Rs 75,000 to send me to Kuwait. When I went to Kuwait and was taken to work in the guest villa of a Sheikh located in a desert, I had to take care of different kinds of goats, birds, dogs, cats, and many more animals which was not the job I was told. I had to work in scorching heat, with no proper food and accommodation," Siva told media.

As Siva couldn't bear the hardships he faced living in the desert, he decided to post a video, urging the higher authorities to bring him back.
