IPS N Sanjay is the new Andhra CID chief; P V Sunil awaits posting

By Newsmeter Network Published on 23 Jan 2023 6:02 PM ISTAmaravati: A few weeks after P.V Sunil Kumar was promoted and posted as the director general of police (CID), a new government order has been issued announcing the transfer of the IPS officer.
According to the new order, N. Sanjay (1996 batch), the director general of the AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services, is transferred and posted as the additional director general of police (CID). The order was issued by the chief secretary to the Andhra Pradesh government, K.S Jawahar Reddy.
Mr. Sanjay is placed in full additional charge of the post of director general, AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services, until further orders, the order read. Meanwhile, Mr. Sunil Kumar has been requested to report before the government’s general administration department.
Mr. Sanjay assumed charge as the director general of the State Disaster Response and Fire Services in October 2022. The 1996 batch officer is from the Visakhapatnam district and holds a law degree from Andhra University. Earlier, he served as managing director of AP Police Housing Corporation Limited. He served in different capacities in undivided Andhra Pradesh in the districts of Warangal, Nalgonda, Kurnool, Ananthapur, Nizamabad, and Hyderabad.
