Jagan also said that the government has given Rs. 576 crore to weavers' families in the last 26 months under the Nethanna Nestham scheme. So far, the government has paid Rs. 72,000 to each family.
The Chief Minister also said that those who are eligible but have been left out from the scheme can still apply at the village and ward secretariats within a month to avail the financial aid. He further said that the government had paid Rs. 103 crore dues for the APCO and other cooperative societies. He said that the previous government had spent only Rs. 259 crore in their five-year rule for handloom weavers.
