Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to formulate the new industrial policy to guide entrepreneurs from conceptualisation, commissioning to marketing their products.
At a review meeting on Monday, on the formulation of the new industrial policy, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to prioritise marketing the products and the necessary tie-ups needed at international level.
āMSMEs have to face tough competition in the world, and they can march ahead only if they have tie-ups with international companies and agencies,ā Jagan said. Asserting that the new industrial policy should meet the demands of the entrepreneurs, Jagan said that the MSME policy in particular should advise, assist and support the start-ups in every aspect.
He also instructed the officials to build a special facility in 3 lakh sqft in central Visakhapatnam to cater to the needs of start-ups and suggested that it should also house office of the industries department.
The officials were asked to give priority to start-ups, and provide basic infrastructure to meet the demands of port-based industries
