Jagananna Goru Muddha adds ragi malt to breakfast of 37 lakhs students
Ragi malt will in the morning menu for 44,392 govt and aided schools

Amaravati: Adding more nutrition to Jagananna Goru Muddha, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy formally launched the programme of serving ragi malt drink to students in Government and aided schools.
Launching the programme virtually in the presence of senior officials at the camp office on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that ragi malt would be served to 37,63,698 students. The ragi malt will be part of the morning menu to students in 44,392 government and aided schools across the state henceforth.
Jagan thanked Sathya Sai Central Trust for partnering with the Andhra Pradesh Government and coming forward to bear Rs 42 crores out of the projectās annual expenditure of Rs 86 crore.
Under this scheme, the government has been providing 15 varieties of food to students with a daily menu that changes to accommodate the most nutritious items. While the students are getting groundnut chikkis three days a week, from now on, ragi malt will be served during the remaining days.
