Justice Reddy transfer: HC Lawyers abstain from work; judges adjourn cases

Telangana: Most of the advocates today skipped work at Telangana High Court in protest against the transfer of Justice A. Abhishek Reddy. The call for abstaining from work was given by the Bar Association.
Prabhakar Chikkudu of Telangana High Court appealed to the lawyers to continue to abstain from the work. He also requested the High Court judges to cooperate.
Accordingly, the judges were adjourning the cases.
On Monday afternoon, the delegates of THCAA will meet the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud regarding the transfer of Justice A. Abhishek Reddy. Later the future course of action will be decided in THCAA General Body Meeting, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
