Kadapa: Jagan's cousin arrested for demanding bribe from SRK constructions

The accused had been identified as YS Konda Reddy, the YCP in charge of Chakrayapet Mandal in the YSR district. Cracking a whip, Jagan ordered a thorough probe. He gave clear instructions that no one should be spared.
Jagan's cousin was extorting money from the SRK construction owner.
Addressing a press conference here, Superintendent of Police KKN Anburajan said SRK Constructions was awarded the tender for the construction of a road between Vempalle Rayachoti. The work has been in progress for several months now.
SP detailed that on 5th May, accused YS Konda Reddy, a resident of Pulivendula town had threatened SRK constructions owners, demanding a bribe to allow the continuation of work. He had also threatened that the ongoing works would be halted by influencing the government.
Following the complaint lodged by the victims in Chakrayapet Mandal police station, the police registered the case on 5th May. During the investigation, police found YS Konda Reddy guilty of threatening contractors, and was arrested at Chakrayapet on Monday.
The SP has urged the people to dial 14400 or 100 and lodge complaints if anyone was threatening or demanding money.
