Vizianagaram: A village love triangle ended in a tragedy after a man killed his rival after discovering that he was allegedly having an affair with the same woman with who he was in a relationship.
On February 17, body of K Ravi was found dead in a well under on the outskirts of Pinavemali village. During the investigation, police found the shirt of the deceased and some liquor bottles near the tree.
Vizianagaram SP B Raja Kumari said Ravi and prime accused Pydiraju belonged to Pinavemali village and were allegedly having an illicit affair with the same woman.
Pydiraju developed a grudge and decided to eliminate Ravi. On February 17, Pydiraju invited Ravi for a liquor party on the village outskirts. When Ravi became tipsy, Pydiraju strangled him to death.
Later, Pydiraju and his friends tried to mask the murder as a suicide. They tried to hang the body from a tree. But their efforts failed as the body fell down. Later, they dumped the body in a well.
Shepherds later found the body and informed the police. During the investigation, police came to know about the love triangle. During questioning, Pydiraju and his friends confessed to the crime.
Police later arrested the main accused Bali Pydiraju and his friends G Narayana Rao, K Uday Kiran and I Satyanarayana.
