Maoist infighting: Senior Andhra commander Chikudu Chinna Rao likely to walkout

Visakhapatnam: Senior Maoist leader Chikudu Chinna Rao alias Sudheer is likely to walk out on the banned outfit due to differences with senior leaders.

Sudheer, who holds the rank of DCM (Divisional Committee Member), is the commander of Pedabayalu and Korukond area committee of AOBSZC (Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee).

Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao told a selected group of reporters that the information about Sudheer leaving the organization was based on concrete intelligence inputs gathered from the locals.

"He has reportedly walked out on the outfit already. We wish that he surrenders so that he can lead a normal life in the mainstream. if lays down arms, he will be provided all the benefits as promised by the government,'' Rao said.

Sources said Sudheer, who is a native of Kondrum village in Injari Panchayat in Pedabayalu Mandal, is a tribal leader. Sources said he is not comfortable with non-tribal leaders including Gajarla Ravi, the secretary of AOBSZC, Aruna, Mahendra and Suresh.

"Intelligence reports said Sudheer has been questioning non-tribal leaders for killing innocent tribals after branding them police informers," Rao said.

Sudheer also reportedly told his close associates that the non-tribal leaders have been taking undue advantage of the innocence and simplicity of the tribals. He told them they are not being allowed to question such heinous acts.
