Memorable trip for people on board first Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express
Prizes were distributed to students who won the essay writing and drawing/painting competitions held on Vande Bharat Express.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 16 Jan 2023 12:29 PM GMTVisakhapatnam: The Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week, was given a rousing welcome at Duvvada railway station.
Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union tourism and culture minister G. Kishan Reddy, and Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan were present at the inauguration of the train at the Secunderabad railway station.
People who travelled by the train were enthralled, and they enjoyed the memorable trip. They thanked the Railways for giving them a unique opportunity and they shared their experience in various forms. Meanwhile, souvenir passes were given to students. Prizes were distributed to students who won the essay writing and drawing/painting competitions held on Vande Bharat Express.
Interacting with the media, divisional railway manager Anup Satpathy said the Vande Bharat train will certainly enhance the bond between the two states and will get a good response from all.
The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (20833) started on 16 January, at 5.45 a.m. It will reach Secunderabad at 2.15 p.m. The Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam train (20834) will start from Secunderabad at 3 p.m and reach Visakhapatnam at 11.30 p.m. Vande Bharat Express has a total of five stoppages—Rajahmundry and Vijayawada stations in Andhra Pradesh and Khammam, Warangal, and Secunderabad in Telangana. Waltair division will do all the maintenance work of Vande Bharat Express which will run six days a week except on Sundays.
