Hyderabad: It is time to take your woolens out of the closet. Weathermen predict cold wave conditions with a drop in temperatures in Andhra Pradesh after 18 December.

The minimum temperatures in many parts of Andhra Pradesh dropped even as dry weather prevailed in coastal AP and Rayalaseema areas. In the last few days, chilly winds hit the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam Agency, Anantapur, and Kurnool.

According to data, on 16 December Andhra Pradesh reported its lowest temperature of 9°C at Dumbriguda (Vizag). It was 9.3°C at Araku Valley (Vizag), 11.8°C at Paderu (Vizag), 12.3°C at Levidi (Vizianagaram), 13°C at Maredumilli (East Godavari), 14°C at Madakasira (Anantapur), 15.3°C at Mantralayam (Anantapur), and 15.8°C at Tirumala (Chittoor).

The chilly weather conditions and foggy mornings in Lambasingi, Vanjagi, and Araku in Vizag Agency are attracting many tourists

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Amaravati, the northeast monsoons have been weak over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. For the next two days, there will be dry weather conditions in these regions.
