Police said that a robbery took place on June 29 at BW Enterprises at TSN Colony in Vizag city. The complainant Reddy Raju Naidu, working as Regional Credit Head of Augmont Gold Loan company reported that Beesetty William Prasad called him to come to his office at TSN Colony under the pretext of selling 700 grams of gold.

Naidu borrowed Rs 15 lakh cash from a private financier Nachu Ananda Rao and went to William Prasad's office.

Naidu did not have enough money to buy the gold. He again went to the house of the financier and borrowed another Rs 15 lakh and went to William's office. He gave Rs 32.8 lakh to William for the gold.

However, three unknown persons entered the office and thrashed William and Naidu. Later they tied Naidu's legs and hands and decamped with the cash. They also took William with them along with the booty.

Laer Naidu approached the Fourth-Town police station. Naidu also informed the police he exaggerated the stolen amount to about Rs32.8 lakh though the actual money stolen was Rs 16 lakh.
