Mukesh Kumar Meena is new AP CEO; ECI issues notification

Amaravati: Senior IAS officer Mukesh Kumar Meena has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh. The Election Commission of India (ECI) issued the order on Friday.

Meena replaces K Vijayanand, who will now return to the State service. "Mukesh Kumar Meena shall hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which he may be holding before such assumption of office," ECI notification said.

A 1998 batch IAS officer, he was Secretary to the government in the Finance Department. He also holds the additional charge of Secretary, Food Processing.
