Naidu shut Chittoor Dairy to safeguard interests of Heritage Group: Kilari Rosaiah
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 May 2021 3:45 AM GMTVijayawada May 5: YSRCP MLA Kilari Rosaiah rubbished TDP's allegations of handing over Sangam Dairy to Amul. He said TDP leaders have no moral right to speak about cooperatives as they were the ones which ruined this sector.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, the MLA said that it was the TDP leaders who robbed farmers by debilitating cooperative dairies.
He said they cry vendetta when the government takes action against the culprits. He said ACB has arrested Dhulipalla Narendra for diverting funds of Sangam Dairy to DVC Trust for personal use. "Although Sangam Dairy was established as a cooperative society, Dhulipalla became its Chairman and treated it as his own firm," he said.
Rosaiah dared TDP leaders to speak about the irregularities that took place in Sangam Dairy rather than crying "revenge".
He said that Chandrababu Naidu shut down Chittoor Dairy just to safeguard interests of his family-owned Heritage Group. The MLA said TDP leaders have lost the right to speak on farmer welfare as they utterly failed to implement a loan waiver scheme.
"As promised to increase income to dairy farmers during padayatra, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had fulfilled it by signing an MoU with Amul. AMUL is a worldwide cooperative society. They have agreed to share profits with farmers of the state," he said.
