Hyderabad: Two fans of Suriya were electrocuted when they were putting up a banner to celebrate the actor's birthday at Narsaraopet mandal, in Mopuvaripalem village of Palnadu district.

The incident occurred when the fans were celebrating the the actor's birthday on July 23, by putting a banner of Suriya’s upcoming film 'Kanguva’

The celebrations turned into tragedy when two of his fans met with a fatal accident. N Venkatesh and P Sai, undergraduate students at a private college in Narasaraopet town, were electrocuted when they were putting up a banner to celebrate the actor's special day.

After hearing the tragic news, Suriya contacted the family of the deceased and promised them all help. Suriya spoke with the family on a video call and expressed his condolences. The video of the family talking to Suriya has been shared on social media.


According to the police, the flex was attached to an iron rod that accidentally made contact with an overhead electric wire leading to the untimely death of both fans.

Sister of deceased Poluri Sai, Ananya held the college responsible for her brother's death.

Earlier too, on various incidents, fans of many actors died in similar situations.
