Nellore: Believe it or not, a school headmistress was caught stealing eggs that were part of a mid-day meal program in Nellore The incident occurred at Gudipallipadu Upper Primary School in Nellore. A video of the headmistress being asked for an explanation has now gone viral.
In the video, a woman is trying to check the bag of the headmistress for stolen eggs. The headmistress however argued and resisted bag-checking. Later villagers intervened and checked her bag. They found 35 eggs with the government logo printed on them.
The district education officer ordered an inquiry and sought a report. TDP leaders in Nellore demanded action against those responsible.
According to the sources, both the headmistress and the woman who caught the HM with eggs lodged police complaints against each other.
