New Twist in YS Vivekananda murder case: Accuse cry foul against CBI

Anantapur, November 29: The murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy has taken a new twist as a new suspect named Gangadhar Reddy on Monday approached the Anantapur police claiming that CBI is pressuring him to implicate YS Bhaskar Reddy, YS Avinash Reddy, and Devi Reddy Shiva Sankar Reddy in the murder case.

Gangadhar Reddy told newsmen that an SP rank CBI officer has been pressuring him to give a statement before the magistrate that YS Bhaskar Reddy, YS Avinash Reddy, and Devi Reddy Shiva Sankar Reddy offered Rs 10 crore him to murder YS Vivekananda Reddy. The CBI seems to be registering false cases against me for not following the SP rank CBI officer's instructions in the case, Gangadhar Reddy added.

My life and family are under threat from the CBI as well as the followers of YS Vivekanda Reddy as I have been receiving threat calls (WhatsApp calls) from some people for the past few days, Gangadhar Reddy added.

Gangadhar Reddy has given a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Anantapur, Dr. Fakeerappa Kaginelli seeking protection for his life and family members.

It may be recalled that Vivekanda Reddy's former driver Shaik Dastagiri, in a statement under Section 164 of the CrPC, stated that he along with Yerra Gangi Reddy, Yadati Sunil Yadav, and Gajjala Uma Shankar Reddy had murdered the former minister.
