No trust in SEC's app: YSRCP
MLA Ambati Rambabu said that the app was developed at the TDP office just like the SEC’s letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 3 Feb 2021 1:14 PM GMTVijayawada: MLA Ambati Rambabu said that the YSRCP has no trust in the app launched recently by the SEC (State Election Commission) Nimmagadda Ramesh, for monitoring elections. He said that the app was developed at the TDP office just like the SEC's letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Slamming the Opposition for attributing motives to the state for the arrest of TDP state president Atchannaidu, Rambabu said that Atchannaidu was arrested when he was caught threatening a candidate over filing of a nomination. He criticised Atchannaidu for threatening to take revenge on the police for taking him into custody.
Speaking on the SEC's visit to Gollagunta of East Godavari district, where the husband of a sarpanch candidate died under suspicious conditions, he said that the role of an SEC is to oversee the smooth conduct of elections, and not to make visits to families of TDP contestants.
Ambati Rambabu said that there could be multiple reasons behind the attack on TDP leader Pattabhi's car. He criticised Pattabhi for not filing an official complaint on the attack and accusing the YSRCP leaders. He said that the government has no reason to attack Chandrababu Naidu or his men since Chandrababu is politically irrelevant.
