Hyderabad: All districts in Andhra Pradesh have issued a list of dos and don'ts for the New Year celebrations. In view of the pandemic and the Omicron cases, the police in every district have come up with guidelines that shall remain in force on the intervening night of 31 December 2021 (6 p.m) to 1 January 2022.
Here are the guidelines being implemented on New Year's eve:
Ā· The Beach road stretch from RK beach to Rushikonda, Telugu Thalli flyover, and BRTS road will be closed.
Ā· No outdoor DJ parties and no cake-cutting events in public places.
Ā· Drunk driving checks will be conducted.
Ā· Liquor shops will remain open only till midnight.
Ā· Not more than five people will be allowed to roam in public places.
Ā· Section 30 of the Police Act and Section 144 of CRPC will be in force.
Ā· Prior police permission is required for New Year celebrations especially in clubs and restaurants.
Ā· Organizers must adhere to social distancing rules and other COVID control measures and should allow only up to 60% seating capacity.
Ā· Traffic restrictions will be implemented on Bandar Road, Eluru Road, and BRTS Road. Vehicles will not be allowed on Benz circle flyover, Kanaka Durga flyover, PCR flyover.
Ā· Strict action will be taken against those found drunk driving and causing a nuisance in public places.
