Visakhapatnam: After eight years, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Eastern Naval Command area in Visakhapatnam on Friday night.
The meeting lasted for 15 minutes. "The meeting took place in unusual circumstances. Modi Ji also desires AP's development and our people's prosperity. This meeting would pave the way for good days for Andhra Pradesh", said Pawan Kalyan.
Pawan Kalyan told the media that he received a call from PMO. "I got a call from the PMO, to meet the Prime Minister. Earlier I had met him before his government assumed power in 2014. The meeting happened after 8 years," he said.
Pawan Kalyan said that the Prime Minister was interested to know about the state and the welfare of the people. "We discussed the developments in the state. I explained to him whatever I knew", he added.
The tete-a-tete assumes significance against the backdrop of TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu's meeting with Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada after the unruly incidents marred the actor's Jana Vani program on October 16.
