Preparations begin for annual brahmotsavams in Tirupati

By Newsmeter Network Published on 24 March 2023 4:09 PM ISTTirupati: In the wake of the annual brahmotsavams and state festival of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta Kodandaramalayam from 31 March to 8 April, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) JEO Veerabrahmam along with Kadapa joint collector Saikant Verma held a review meeting with all department heads on Friday.
During the review held at the meeting hall at Vontimitta, the JEO directed officials concerned to prepare an action plan on various preparatory activities to be executed for the mega religious festival in YSR Kadapa district. He instructed the officials to complete the pending works before 31 March and said there will be a rehearsal on 1 April.
He also reviewed the arrangements for the deputation of officials and employees, deployment of Srivari Sevaks, help desks, accommodation, preparation of Talambralu, Annaprasadams, sanitation, transportation, engineering works, floral decorations, Bhajana teams, security measures, etc. He also directed the vigilance officials to coordinate with the local police and make necessary parking and security arrangements for the visiting devotees, especially at Kalyana Vedika on the day of the celestial marriage on 5 April.
The joint collector of YSR Kadapa district, Saikant Verma, directed the officials to set up an inter-departmental control room besides the police control room to follow up on issues related to the respective departments and ensure smooth management of the event without any hitch.
He also directed the officials concerned from the district administration to complete the works by month's end and said a rehearsal of the arrangements will be carried out by the top brass authorities from the district and TTD on 1 April.
