Simhachalam Temple tragedy: Techie couple among 4 members of family die in wall collapse
Eight devotees are feared dead and several others injured

Visakhapatnam: Four members of a family were among the people who lost their lives in the Simhachalam Temple wall collapse in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Among them are young techie couple Pilla Shailaja (27) and Pilla Mahesh (30), from Chandrampalem in Madhurawada, Visakhapatnam.
While Shailaja was working in Infosys, Mahesh was working in HCL in Hyderabad. Both have been residing in Vizag and working from home. The couple, who got married three years ago.
According to the relatives, the couple were friendly with everyone, had helping nature.
Besides Mahesh and his wife Shailaja, her mother Pyla Venkata Ratnam, and her aunt G Mahalakshmi were also killed. The family members were in the queue at 2.30 AM on Wednesday morning when the wall collapsed.
Eight devotees are feared dead and several others injured after a newly constructed wall collapsed at the Simhachalam Temple premises, during the annual Chandanotsavam festival.
The incident occurred at 2.55 AM on Wednesday near the Rs 300 ticket queue line, when the devotees were waiting in the queue for the Nijarupa Darshanam of Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
