Srikakulam teacher at tribal girls’ school suspended after video shows students massaging her feet

Srikakulam: A teacher at a tribal ashram school for girls in Srikakulam district was suspended after a video of students massaging her feet while she was talking on the phone went viral. The incident occurred at Bandapalli Girls’ Tribal Ashram School in Meliyaputti mandal of Srikakulam district

The teacher, identified as Sujatha, was seen speaking on her phone while two students massaged her legs. The incident happened a few weeks ago, but came into the light on Tuesday.

Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Seetampeta Project Officer Pawar Swapnil Jagannath issued a show-cause notice to the teacher and ordered an inquiry. Authorities stated that such behaviour from a teacher, who is expected to guide and educate students, is unacceptable.
