Tirupati: Tirumalesh, subordinate in Sub-Registrar Office owns plush flats, cars, kilos of gold and silver, trapped

Tirupati: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has unearthed massive disproportionate assets allegedly amassed by Tirumalesh, a suspended office subordinate working at the Sub-Registrar Office in Renigunta, Tirupati district.
The total value of the assets is preliminarily estimated at around Rs 50 crore, officials said on Thursday.
The searches were conducted under the supervision of ACB Additional SP Vimala Kumari, with three special teams carrying out simultaneous raids at six locations across Tirupati and Nellore districts.
Multiple locations searched
One of the ACB teams conducted searches on Thursday morning at Sri Lakshmi Nivas Apartments in Ramachandra Nagar, Tirupati, in the presence of Tirumalesh. During the raids, officials identified documents related to:
A G+3 residential building at Chaitanyapuram, Tirupati
Two plots under the Tiruchanur jurisdiction
Documents linked to 10 additional properties, including land and buildings
All relevant property documents were seized.
Cash, Gold, and Vehicles seized.
During the searches, ACB officials recovered:
Rs 15.26 lakh in cash
1.4 kg of gold ornaments
8.7 kg of silver articles
One car and three two-wheelers
Several high-value household appliances
Officials said two bank lockers belonging to Tirumalesh were also identified, and the valuation of cash and jewellery stored in them is yet to be completed.
Raids at Relatives’ and Associate Properties
Searches were also conducted at an apartment belonging to a close associate at Timminayudupalem, where officials found:
1 kg of gold jewellery
4 kg of silver articles
In addition, raids were carried out at Tirumalesh’s own house in Giri Puram, Tirupati, another residence in the city, and two locations at DCPalli village in Marripadu mandal, Nellore district. Property documents related to a G+3 building under construction were seized from these locations.
Arrest likely on Friday
ACB officials stated that searches continued late into Thursday night. Tirumalesh is likely to be arrested on Friday morning and produced before the Nellore ACB Court. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the disproportionate assets and their sources.
