Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up to observe the twin Brahmotsavams festivities in a grand manner.
The Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be observed between September 18-26 and Navaratri Brahmotsavams between October 15-23.
The important days in the annual Brahmotsavams are:
Dwajarohanam on September 18.
Garuda Vahanam on September 22.
Swarna Ratham on September 23.
Rathotsavam on September 25.
Chakra Snanam on September 26 and Dwajavarohanam on the same evening.
During Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Garuda Vahana is on October 19.
Swarna Ratham on October 22 and Chakra Snanam on October 23.
TTD has cancelled the Arjita Sevas of Asta Dala Padmaradhana, Tiruppavada, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas from September 18-26 and October 15-23. Similarly, TTD has also cancelled Sahara Deepalankara Seva on October 14 in view of Ankurarpanam fete.
As per Chandramanam, every third year is Adhika month and hence the annual Brahmotsavam is held in Kanya masam (Bhadrapada) and in Dasara the Navaratri Brahmotsavam is performed. The only difference between the two Brahmotsavams is that in the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, the events of Dwajarohanam and Dwajavarohanam will not be observed.
