TTD readies first aid centres, extra security, laddus for annual Brahmotsavam from Oct 4-12
TTD was already operating six permanent dispensaries at Tirumala and Tirupati for providing medical aid to devotees, employees and locals
By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 25 Aug 2024 7:11 AM GMTTirumala: The medical wing of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is setting up eight new first aid centres around Tirumala to address emergencies for devotees attending the upcoming annual Srivari Brahmotsavam scheduled from October 4-12.
TTD was already operating six permanent dispensaries at Tirumala and Tirupati for providing medical aid to devotees, employees and locals.
In addition to two at Narayangiri Garden and one each at Rambageecha Rest House, Matrusree Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Complex Silatoranam, Bata Gangamma Temple, Papavinasanam, 7th Mile will be set up for the convenience of devotees during the popular religious festival.
On the direction of the TTD medical department, senior doctors, paramedics medicines and ambulances with advanced medical equipment are being rolled out.
During the Brahmotsavam, the morning Vahana Sevas will be held between 8 am and 10 am and 7 pm and 9 pm except for the Garuda Vahana Seva which would commence at 6:30 pm.
CM Naidu to participate in festivities
On October 4 evening, chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will present official pattu vastrams to the Lord Venkateswara statue on behalf of the State government and participate in the Pedda Sesha Vahanam Seva.
According to TTD, in view of the anticipated rush of devotees, many Arjita sevas and special darshans have been cancelled during the annual fete. A buffer stock of about seven lakh laddus will be kept ready along with additional security in coordination with the district police during Garuda Vahana Seva while ghat roads will be kept open for 24 hours on the Garuda Seva day under a constant vigil through the common command centre.
To showcase the development activities of TTD, a special photo exhibition, a fruit and flower show and a sculpture exhibition will be organised at the Kalyana Vedika.
Special cultural groups will be invited from all states to perform during Vahana Sevas and at auditoriums in Tirupati and Tirumala under the leadership of HDPP projects.
