Two children have gone missing in East Godavari agency for the last eight days.

East Godavari: Two children have gone missing in East Godavari agency for the last eight days.
According to Maredumilli Circle Inspector Ravi Kumar, two girls, aged two and three years, went missing when they were playing near their house at Musuru village under Maredumilli village panchayat on January 22.
However, their parents lodged a missing complaint in Maredumilli police station three days after the incident.
Villagers suspected that the children could have ventured into the nearby forest. The village is tucked away near the forests and there is no chance of outsiders entering it.
Villagers said there is no possibility of these two girls going more than half a kilometer in the forest as they are too young.
Animals like wild boars and foxes often wander in the area. Police have formed two special teams to look for the missing girls. Police have also searched the trenches dug by the forest department.
