Vehicles with signs of other faiths, political flags will be denied entry to Tirumala: TTD

Hyderabad: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Sunday announced that vehicles with signs of other faiths and photos of people will not be allowed entry into Tirumala.

Devotees who are coming to Tirumala for darshan are not supposed to carry signs of other religions, deities, person's photos, or political party flags, the TTD said.

This rule has been under implementation for several decades. "However, some devotees, unaware and unmindful of this regulation, are coming to Tirumala with signs of other faiths, photos of political leaders and celebrities, and political flags on their vehicles," the TTD said.

The vigilance sleuths, while checking the vehicles at Alipiri, explained the rule to some people and removed stickers and flags as it was against TTD norms.

Devotees have been asked to be aware of this important regulation and co-operate with the management.
