Wifi, bio-vacuum toilets, GPS-based info: 'Vande Bharat Express' to chug from Vizag to Vijayawada
According to the Railway officials, trial runs on the track in Visakhapatnam will start soon.

Visakhapatnam: Indian railways is planning to operate the high-speed 'Vande Bharat Express from Vizag to Vijayawada. The train is likely to run during the daytime on the lines of Janmbhoomi Express. It would reduce the travel time to 8 hours from 12-14 hours
The train would initially run from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada and then extended to Secunderabad. The Indian Railways is yet to announce the date of launch. This will be the sixth train on the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad route. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the train service between Chennai and Mysore. The South-Central Railway (SCR) has said that the 'Vande Bharat' trains will run between Vizag and Secunderabad.
At present, only one rake will be available, so the train would initially run from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada and then be extended to Secunderabad. The time travel from Vizag-Vijayawada will be reduced to four hours, the same for the return journey.
According to the Railway officials, trial runs on the track in Visakhapatnam will start soon.
Further, the officials are also finding possibilities to extend Vande Bharat train services to Tirupati. If the train runs from Secunderabad- Tirupati, it will reduce time and passenger rush from Vijayawada.
Vande Bharat trains are currently running on New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Katra, Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar, New Delhi-Amb Andaura, and MGR Chennai Central-Mysuru routes.
