YSR EBC Nestham: Andhra govt transfers Rs 658.6 Cr into accounts of 4.39L women

Amaravati: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government transferred YSR EBC Nestham funds directly into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh.

The scheme extends financial assistance of ₹15,000 to poor women aged between 45 and 60. Eligible beneficiaries should have an annual income of not more than Rs 10,000 per month in rural areas and Rs 12,000 in urban areas.

Overall, the chief minister credited Rs 658.6 crore into the bank accounts of nearly 4.39 lakh women belonging to communities including Reddys, Kammas, Arya Vaishyas, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Velamas, and other communities.

Talking about the scheme during his visit to Prakasam district, CM Jagan said, "The Government has so far released Rs. 1257.04 crore under the YSR EBC Nestham crediting Rs. 30,000 each in the two tranches. So far, 30 lakh house sites have been distributed to women across the state and 20 lakh houses are under construction. The government has also cleared DWCRA bank loans to the tune of Rs. 19,178 crores out of a total of Rs. 25, 570 crore kept pending by the TDP rule."

Kasula Venkata Aruna, who is one of the beneficiaries from Markapur, thanked CM Jagan for his efforts to uplift the poor. With the amount, she is planning to set up a grocery shop.
