YSRCP MLC's driver found dead under suspicious circumstances in Kakinada

According to the police, Mr. Uday Bhaskar came to Subrahmanyam’s home and took him out on Thursday night. Later, he called the family members and said Subrahmanyam had allegedly died in a road accident near Nagamalli Thota junction. The MLC went to the family’s home and handed over the body. When the family members started questioning him and blaming him for the youth’s death, the MLC fled the scene, leaving the car behind.

YSRCP MLCs driver found dead under suspicious circumstances in Kakinada

Kakinada: YSRCP MLC Ananta Satya Uday Bhaskar's driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances here. However, the youth's family alleged that he was murdered by the MLC and demanded the YSRCP leader be arrested.

V. Subrahmanyam, the MLC's driver, had recently quit his job after working for Mr. Uday Bhaskar for five years.

According to the police, Mr. Uday Bhaskar came to Subrahmanyam's home and took him out on Thursday night. Later, he called the family members and said Subrahmanyam had allegedly died in a road accident near Nagamalli Thota junction. The MLC went to the family's home and handed over the body. When the family members started questioning him and blaming him for the youth's death, the MLC fled the scene, leaving the car behind.

The police are yet to conduct a post-mortem. Statements by the victim's family are being recorded. According to the police, there are no traces of a road accident on the spot.

After the incident, former state Home minister N. China Rajappa visited the victim's family. He alleged that the driver was murdered by the MLC who is now trying to cover it up as an accident.

A case has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPC (death under suspicious circumstances).

Family demands MLC's arrest

The victim's wife, Aparna, is demanding that the police immediately arrest the MLC and hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Speaking to the media, she alleged that the MLC had killed her husband as he knew many of his secrets.

Subrahmanyam's body has been at the Kakinada Government Hospital for 24 hours. The family is demanding the MLC's arrest only after which they will agree to a post-mortem. The police are requesting the family members to follow protocol.

While the family and the Opposition have been protesting since the incident, there is no trace of MLC Bhaskar. He is yet to respond to the incident.
