Amaravati: The official Twitter handle of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was hacked and flooded with multiple bizarre posts in the last few hours. Andhra Pradesh chief digital director Devendra Reddy Gurrampati confirmed that the account has been hacked and that they are currently in touch with Twitter officials.

Speaking to News Meter, sources from the AP digital team said, "A complaint has been raised with Twitter, and they are working on it. It is expected to be resolved soon. As of now, the email ID of the handle has been blocked."

Hackers have changed the display pic on the Twitter account to a photo of a monkey and the name to "NFT Millionaire." Since Saturday morning, hackers have been sharing tweets related to cryptocurrency and bitcoins.

Sources said the account was hacked from the US as the location has been changed.

A pinned post on the account is about cryptocurrency with a photo of Elon Musk, the new Twitter CEO. "To support the crypto community, Elon Musk initiated 5.000 BTC and 100.000 ETH GIVEAWAY," read the tweet.

There were also reposts from other Twitter handles.
