GHMC Elections: Curious case of polling at Lunger House

Hyderabad: In a curious case of polling reported at Lunger House (ward 66) falling under circle- 13 Karwan, the voting percentage significantly jumped from 6.77% ending 3 pm to 43.09% at 6 pm.

Also, the overall percentage of polled votes at Lunger house towards the end of the polling shows 42.09%.
It is interesting to note that the polling began on a staggering note. According to the first polling data that came around 9 Am, it showed 2.83% as it polling percentage beginning 7 AM.
Later it slightly increased to 3.88% by 11 AM.
Even at 1 pm, the percentage stood at 5.65% votes and at 3 pm it came around 6.77%.
The latest state election commission data shows that at 5 pm, the polling at Lunger House increased by more than 40 percent within two hours. While at 6 pm it reported 43.09%.

It is pertinent to note that the state election commission released a tentative figure of voters polled in the midnight, though the polling ended at 6 PM.


The Telangana State Election Commission on Wednesday morning released the final data of overall polling of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections 2020. The overall voting percentage till 6 pm was 45.92% in 149 wards.

The highest polling percentage was recorded at Ward Number 41 Kanchanbagh(70.39%), followed by Ward Number 112 Ramchandrapuram( 67.71%) and Ward Number 113 Patancheruvu(65.77%). The lowest polling percentage was recorded in Ward Number 96 Yousufguda(32.99%) followed by Ward Number 70 Mehdipatnam(34.41%) and Ward 24 Saidabad(35.77%).
