Cyclone Gulab: SCR cancels, diverts trains scheduled for next few days

With the cyclonic storm Gulab set to make a landfall in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha on Sunday evening, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the cancellation, diversion, and regulation of trains.

Hyderabad: With the cyclonic storm Gulab set to make a landfall in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha on Sunday evening, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the cancellation, diversion, and regulation of trains.



SCR has cancelled eight trains scheduled for the next few days: 02859 Puri-Chennai Central on 26 September; 07015 Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad, 02071 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati, 02072 Tirupati-Bhubaneswar and 02860 Chennai Central-Puri on 27 September; 02085 Sambalpur–H.S Nanded on Sunday; and 02086 H.S Nanded-Sambalpur and 07244 Rayagada-Guntur on Monday.

Meanwhile, train 08401 Puri-Okha was diverted via Khurda Road-Angul-Sambalpur Titlagarh-Lakholi-Balharshah on Sunday.

The trains rescheduled on Sunday are 01020 Bhubaneswar–Mumbai CSMT by five-and-a-half hours and Bhubaneswar Express and Puri-Tirupati train by two hours from Puri.

05488 Agartala–Bengaluru Cantt was regulated on 25 September by three hours in South Eastern Railway; 08189 Tata-Ernakulam to be regulated for six hours in South Eastern Railway on Sunday; 01019 Mumbai CSMT-Bhubaneswar was regulated for six hours in Central Railway and South Central Railway on Saturday; 03352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad was regulated for five hours in Southern Railway and South Central Railway on Saturday; 02544 Chennai Central-Howrah to be regulated for five hours in Southern Railway and South Central Railway on Sunday; 02064 Yesvantpur-Puri regulated on Saturday for three hours in South Western Railway and South Central Railway; 08646 Hyderabad-Howrah to be regulated on Sunday for three hours in South Central Railway; 02808 Chennai Central-Santragachi to be regulated on Sunday for four hours in Southern Railway and South Central Railway; 02641 Trivandrum–Kolkata Shalimar regulated on Saturday for three hours in Southern Railway and South Central Railway; 08480 Tirupati-Bhubaneswar to be regulated on Sunday for three hours in SCR.
