Pawan Kalyan tests positive for COVID-19

The actor had organized a padayatra followed by a public meeting in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, on 3 April. He complained of discomfort after he returned to Hyderabad. On the advice of his doctors, he took a COVID-19 test but it came back negative.
Even after testing negative, he was under home quarantine at his farmhouse. Later, he had fever and body pains, following which he took the test again two days ago and tested positive, an official release from Janasena said.
Noted viral diseases expert and cardiologist Dr. Tangalla Suman from Khammam had come down to Hyderabad to treat Pawan Kalyan. After conducting a series of tests, it was found that the actor has a slight infection in the lungs. Accordingly, he is being treated with anti-viral drugs and he is getting oxygen when necessary.
Dr. Suman is the actor's family advisor and he has been treating him for the past week. Meanwhile, a team of doctors from Apollo Hospitals is monitoring his health condition now.
The actor said his health is stable and very soon he will recover from the virus with the support of the people and his fans, the statement quoted the actor as saying.
Pawan Kalyan's brother and actor Chiranjeevi, his son Ramcharan Tej, and family members are in touch with him, inquiring about his health condition and making all necessary arrangements for his treatment, the statement read.
