Hyderabad: Apollo Hospital on Saturday said superstar Rajnikanth's health is progressing and the decision on his discharge will be taken by evening.
Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth, who was shooting for 'Annaatthe' was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills on Friday. His blood pressure was fluctuating. He tested negative for COVID-19 on December 22. The actor was shooting in Hyderabad for the last 10 days.
Doctors on Saturday said that his blood pressure is still on the higher side although under better control. "His investigations have not revealed anything alarming so far. He is scheduled for a further set of investigation today, reports of which will be available by the evening," said the hospital.
Doctors said his blood pressure medications are being titrated carefully and he will be closely monitored. The hospital has advised him complete rest in view of his labile blood pressure and visitors are not being allowed to meet him in the hospital.
Based on his investigation and control of blood pressure, a decision on his discharge will be taken by the evening.
Sun Pictures had earlier tweeted that due to four crew members being tested positive for COVID-19, the shoot has been postponed. They assured that the superstar tested negative.
