TTD to lease out 177 Kalyana Mandapams in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has decided to lease out 177 Kalyana Mandapams in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to the like-minded Hindu religious organizations, Mutts, Trusts or individuals for five years.

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has decided to lease out 177 Kalyana Mandapams in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to the like-minded Hindu religious organizations, Mutts, Trusts or individuals for five years.

Interested Hindu religious organizations, mutts, temples, individuals would send their proposals through www.tender.apeprocuremrnt. gov.in from September 1 to September 30, TTD said on Sunday.

Last week, the TTD decided to lease out Kalyana Mandapams in Gudipala, Polakala, Palamaner, Kalluru, Punganuru, Sadum, Somala, Rompicherla, Bhakrapeta, Tarigonda, Puttur, Balijakandriga, Tirumalarajapuram, and Tondamanad.

This number is just over half the total of 300 such buildings built over a period of time by the TTD. These are rented out for marriages and domestic functions. Most halls do not register weddings. The move is seen as an attempt to put the properties to the best use.
