100-bed floor inaugurated at Kondapur District Hospital

Hyderabad, December 8: Health Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated a new 100-bed floor at the Kondapur District Hospital.

The 100-bed floor was set up with the help of Raheja Corporations at a time when the demand for beds had increased due to Covid-19.

The Minister said that during Covid, an additional 1300 beds were set up in government hospitals in Hyderabad as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. Paediatric wards with 6000 beds were made available in 33 districts.


Rao said that the government will soon set up a dialysis unit in Kondapur.

He also mentioned that the government is prepared with a plan to fight the Covid-19 third wave. Government hospitals now have 27,000 beds, he informed. Also, he assured that more than 900 ICU beds will be made available soon.

Vaccination

Rao sought the help of all citizens to make the vaccination drive 100 % effective. 3.5 to 4 lakh people are vaccinated every day in the state, he said. He urged all corporators to go to people's houses and ensure that everyone in their area is vaccinated.
