12 new Omicron cases in TS; 10 from non-risk countries, 2 locally transmitted

Hyderabad: 12 more new Omicron cases were reported in Telangana on December 27.
Out of the 12 new cases, 10 are from non-risk countries and 2 are locally transmitted cases. With this, the total tally of Omicron cases in the state has become 55.
The cases of local transmission in the state has become 4.
A total of 263 passengers arriving from 'at-risk' countries were screened at RGIA on Monday out of which 24 have turned Covid-19 positive. All the 24 samples have been sent for genome sequencing.
